Important Notice

This kerosene lighter is shipped without fuel for safety reasons. Before using it for the first time, you must fill it with lighter fluid (kerosene).

How to Refill the Lighter

1. Open the lighter lid.
2. Pull the inner insert out of the outer case.
3. Turn the insert upside down.
4. Lift the cotton pad on the bottom or add lighter fluid through the filling opening beneath the cotton.
5. Fill with an appropriate amount of kerosene—do not overfill. Allow the fuel to soak into the wick for several minutes.
6. Reinsert the insert into the case and close the lid before lighting.

Warning: Avoid overfilling, as excess fuel may leak and create a fire hazard. Wipe away any spilled fuel before igniting.

Important Information

• New lighters are intentionally shipped without fuel.
• Retailers should not pre-fill the lighter before sale. Once fueled and used, the wick will darken, making the lighter appear used.
• If the lighter remains filled but unused for an extended period, the fuel may evaporate, making ignition more difficult. Refill as needed before use.

Safety Precautions

1. Keep out of reach of children.
2. Store away from heat, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources.
3. Never puncture, crush, or dispose of the lighter in fire.
4. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
5. Always point the flame away from your face, body, clothing, and other flammable materials.
6. If dirt or soot blocks the flame outlet, gently clean or blow it out before use.
7. Close the lid immediately after use to reduce fuel evaporation.
8. Do not keep the flame burning continuously for more than one minute, as the lighter may become extremely hot.
9. Do not expose the lighter to temperatures above 50°C (122°F) or leave it in direct sunlight, hot vehicles, or near heaters.
10. At elevations above 3,000 meters (9,840 feet), ignition performance may decrease due to reduced oxygen levels.
11. Before using decorative or tabletop lighters, identify the flame outlet, fuel inlet, and flame adjustment controls.
12. Always refill with high-quality lighter fluid (kerosene). Low-quality fuel can reduce performance and shorten the lighter's lifespan.

Always handle fuel carefully and keep it away from open flames during refilling. Ensure the lighter is dry on the outside before igniting. Proper use and regular maintenance will help ensure reliable performance and long service life.
